It's
been ages since I've got any new stuff put on here, but I'm
working on it! And there's a lot of new stuff in the offing.
This
is me with my Mum and Dad on my twenty first birthday a couple of
years ago. The photo was taken by my aunt, Toni
Tapp Coutts who also holds copyright on the original
picture. The prettying up was done by my Grandmother who is
also webmaster of this site. So as you can see, this is
pretty much a family affair.
We
held the birthday do at my rural home, and had a
blast. Don't have to worry too much about noise where
we are, and anyway the neighbours love a party just as much as we
do!
This
picture of me with my mum and younger brother, Callan, was taken
in February 2002 during a break at home with my family.
As
you can see, both Callan
and I are pretty proud of our buckles! We are both wearing
buckles we won for competing in events with the NT Cowboys
Association. Callan rides poddies
and he has his own web site now which you can find by clicking on
his name. He has lots of stuff on his site and some great
pictures as well. I'm still going to keep the Litchfield
Legend picture on here though, because I'm pretty proud of my kid
brother.

And here it
is! If you're familiar with my original site, you'll notice
the frame has disappeared from the collage. This is to make
the picture 'lighter' in file size - or so I've been told, and who
am I to argue with the geeks? :-). The pictures that make up
this collage were taken at one of Callan's early poddy
rides. As you can see from the image at the top left, he
took the advice about 'seeing' himself riding and winning very
seriously. Before every ride, Callan spends a bit of quiet
time mentally preparing for the ride ahead. This is a really
important part of the preparation for any rough stock events.

And here's another family picture that I wouldn't let
go! Another in the line of rodeo riders in my family.
This is my little cousin, Erin, at her very first poddy
ride. Was she ever excited! And she loved every minute
of it ... just never stops nagging to get to the rodeos and have
another go. Erin's dad was a very handy bronc rider himself
a few years ago. Not sure that he actually feels very
comfortable with his baby in the rodeo arena though ... but what
can you do? Can't do too much about the rodeo genes, can
you? And this little lady is a real chip off the old block.
Actually, Erin has now taking a real liking to Irish Dancing and
is showing a lot of talent ... much to dad's relief! |
