The picture on the entrance page, the name header and
the Aussie Map were all created
by Webpage NT, who also came up with the idea for the layout of the new
site. The picture is taken from a photo of my winning ride on Wild Thing at
the CBR Finals in Townsville in December 2001. The
photo was taken by Mike Kenyon and you can see the whole picture, along
with some others, on my BA
Photos page.

Welcome to my
Bullriding World |
Hi! Welcome to my web site. I'm Cody Tapp from Katherine in the Northern Territory, Australia and I'm a
bullrider.
I've been off the web for a few months while I was sorting out
some stuff, including setting up a new web address. I'm in the
process of trying to get the old address changed to the new one
wherever I know there are links to my site, but this may take a
while. In the meantime, apologies to anyone who's had trouble
trying to find their way here.
There should be some exciting things happening over the next
few months and it will all be reflected here, so check back again
for updates.
You'll find links to all the other pages on the left hand side and at the bottom of every page, plus links to the latest photos and the results archive on the right hand side.
It's the same on every page, so it's easy to find your way around. Some
of the archived pages aren't linked yet but they'll be available
pretty soon.
All right! Let's get on with bullriding. Yep! I'm one of those lunatics who gets a kick out of being tossed around on the back of
almost a tonne of raging bull. I try and get my kicks from staying on the back of the beast for the legendary eight seconds and scoring lots of points, but sometimes the bull wins and does his best to toss, trample and gore me if I don't get out of the way fast enough. This is where the bullrider's saviour jumps in to protect the bullrider and help him to get out of the bull ring safely. The saviours are the rodeo clowns, and they probably have the hardest, most risky job of all in rodeo.
And let me tell you, that 8 second ride can seem like an eternity when you're
trying to stay on the back of a beast that's
determined to turn you into mincemeat.
When I first got my site up on the www, I found there weren't many Australian sites featuring bull riding. There's a few more around now which you'll find links to on the links page, but there's still not very many. if anyone comes across any that aren't on my links page, I'd be obliged if you'd let me know so I can see if we can link up with them.
Just a word about copyright. A lot of the photos on my site
have copyright held by various people. The pictures affected
will have a message with them and a link to the holder of the
copyright. Please respect the rights of the
photographers. They earn their living taking pictures, just
like I earn my living riding bulls ... only it's not so easy to snag
my bulls! Just drop a line to the copyright holders and
I'm sure they'd be happy to assist you if you want copies of any of
the photos.
Well, I'm not going to rave on any more. Just click on a link, any one you like, and have a browse through my site.
There's lots to see and I'll try to keep it updated a lot more than
it has been for the past couple of years. Life gets in the way
sometimes lol.
Thanks for visiting and I sure hope you enjoy your visit to my bullriding world.

This site will be a continuous work in progress because no matter how many
hours get spent on it, there will always be changes to make. That's
because my life is not static, and I'll try to make sure this site
reflects the changes that happen as I pursue my bull riding career.
