Here are pictures
from various rodeos, most of which I have competed at. They're
mostly 'thumbnailed'
to keep the file sizes manageable. Some of the pictures
were fairly small to start with and didn't need to be
thumbnailed. Click on the thumbnailed pictures to get a larger view.
To start off the
gallery, I've put a picture of my uncle Daniel and a mate,
Johnny, riding a bull in tandem at Borroloola a few years
ago. This is from the collection of Tony Maxwell and I
sure did a double take when I saw it. This is the only
picture I haven't reduced in size. Didn't want to reduce
the impact! It's just too awesome.

sure was busy with the camera that day! As usual it was a
clear sunny day ... never really anything else in Katherine in
July. Perfect for bullriding.

| And here's a tribute
to the clowns. They do a great job keeping the riders ...
and others ... safe in the arena. Here they're doing a bit
of clowning around to keep the spectators amused while they're
waiting for the next ride. Another great picture from the

Riding at the
Katherine Show in July 2001. I got 2nd place in the Open
Bull Ride here. Great rodeo and heaps of really good rides
from the competitors. If you're ever in Australia and get
the chance to visit the Northern Territory, try and make it to
this show. It's a real showcase for the best of the
Territory ... and beyond. |
This is a picture from the 2001 NCA Finals. These two
ladies are Nadine Bligh (left) and Shelley Ellis (right).
Shelley was the Australian Rodeo Queen and Nadine was the
Australian Fund Raising Queen and they presented the awards at
the Finals. Here, they had just presented me with the NCA
Bullriding Champion Buckle. |

(from L to R) Cameron Read, me and Daniel Tapp. Don't we
all look solemn? Never noticed that until I put this
picture on here! Don't take any notice of the serious
expressions ... we were having a ball! This picture hasn't
been thumbnailed because it was pretty small to start with. |
